I’ve been away for the past week, much of it spent in the middle of a sugar beet field in (literally) darkest Suffolk, observing the universe, being shot at by poachers, and being terrified by a very large and attitudinous alpha-male hedgehog. As a result, there are over 500 e-mails in my inbox, and what looks to be the same amount of physical post to deal with. Pardon me if I don’t surface for a day or two…
